Namecheap has recently been bought out by CVC! Oh no!
I expect the enshittification of Namecheap to start really soon. As such, I decided to move the only domain I really care about to another registrar. My registrar of choice is currently NameSilo, which was suggested by a friend of mine. I cannot yet vouch regarding the quality of their service, but their support is pretty nice.
As for DNS, I have moved to desec.io. I will setup DNSSEC on this domain soon... Also sorry for the small ammount of downtime.
It is really sad how after three years of being a happy customer of Namecheap I have to jump ship, but I am not willing to gamble wether or not they will remain a good registrar.
